There is not much left of 2011 and there are bound to be some great New Year celebrations that you will want to attend. Most of us are very keen to ensure that we look good at this time of year. Skillful application of makeup is one of the ways that we can do this.

The natural look is really in this year. Unfortunately most of us cannot depend 100% on our natural beauty to get the job done; we need to cheat just a little bit. The good news is that we can maintain a natural look while using a number of makeup products that will enhance our own beauty.
At this time of year, parties are in full flow and most of us want our makeup to show our enthusiasm. However, going overboard can lead to dramatic results and not in a good sense. Putting glitter on your face is a major mistake but one that a lot of people tend to do at this time of the year. This type of look is really only going to look good on those who are younger than thirteen years of age. Glitter should probably be avoided totally by you unless you are really confident that you can wear it well.
It is still possible to achieve a glamorous look with your makeup without resorting to glitter. A look that can be amazing is glimmer eye shadow so you should think about giving this a try.
Fake tan should also be used sparingly when heading to a New Year's party because it can make you look really unnatural.
