Sinus inflammation or swelling is one of the most typical problems from the respiratory system. This could also be thought as inflammation of the lining of mucus membrane from the sinuses hard. It could even be because of some structural condition in nasal passages or even a cyst or polyp. This could be effectively treated via a surgical procedure. Although it's rare, but if not treated, sinusitis may result in some fatal complications like meningitis- when the sinus infection also spreads to eyes or the brain. A lot of people may also have vision problems and at times chlamydia could also spread for the blood vessels.

Treatment of sinusitis

Many individuals prefer natural cures or natural home remedies for the treatment of sinus infection instead of opting for decongestants, analgesics, nasal sprays and antihistamines in order to avoid harmful side effects. Also, if your sinus infection is acute, it may be given natural cures and home remedies but bacterial sinusitis necessitates a suitable antibiotic course. Using nasal sprays and decongestants for a long period can lead to the recurrence of nasal congestion. These home remedies prove to be quite beneficial to relieve sinus symptoms-

* Take jalapeno peppers to drain the mucus and relive the symptoms

* Prepare saline nasal spray by mixing one spoon of salt in one glass of hot water and then spray it inside your nose. This will assist to scrub the bacteria and also lose the congestion.
