Laser Hair Removal And Laser Training Courses Offer An Alternative To Shaving.

by Lucy Cho

Receiving a series of laser treatments from an individual who has successfully completed laser training courses can be a tremendous benefit for many. Some desire this procedure to rid themselves of ingrown hairs commonly caused by waxing at a beauty school. Others are seeking relief from the constant itching associated with shaving and the discoloration and scarring that occurs as a result of scratching. For some, hormonal imbalances cause hair growth to drastically increase or hair to form in areas uncommon for other individuals. Athletes often are seeking a solution to frequent shavings of their entire bodies.

Even though many of the benefits for laser hair removal and laser training courses are cosmetic in nature there are other benefits as well. Many people find themselves feeling self-conscious about unwanted hair and emotional and psychological benefits may be achieved if that same unwanted hair can be removed. A young man, for example, may not go to the beach because he does not want to expose what he believes to be an embarrassingly large amount of hair on his back, chest, and arms. Or maybe a young woman in her early twenties has never kissed someone because she is afraid that by so doing, the other person will feel the hairs on her chin. Many people find themselves in these or other like situations and, for them, laser techniques can be a game changer!

Besides the increase to self-confidence, there are other benefits to laser hair removal and laser training courses. If you spend less time on shaving, generally you have more time to get ready. For some, this might mean an extra few minutes to sleep or accomplish another task before heading out the door to work. Generally five or six treatments are necessary for any given area, but after you have received all treatments, you may only have to shave once a month instead of every day or every other day. If you continue on past this point with treatments, you may only have to shave every six months or so in order to stay hair free.

Another benefit to laser hair removal and laser training courses is fewer ingrown hairs and softer, smoother skin. Since you are reducing the number of hairs by 70% - 90% after five or so treatments, you also reduce the risk of getting ingrown hairs by this same amount. In addition, most females and athletes report that with shaving, they feel stubbly after only two to three days. With waxing, which occurs at a beauty school or other licensed facility, results are generally only a week or two before this is also the case. Laser treatments actually give you softer, smoother skin after each treatment with results lasting longer after each treatment. Even the small percentage of hairs that do not go away lighten in color and are thinner.

Laser treatments also generally cause less discoloration and scarring than shaving or waxing. Itching, commonly associated with shaving, and hair re-growth does not occur as readily with laser treatments, so scars and discoloration become almost a non-issue. Once laser treatments have commenced and begin reducing the number of hairs in any given area prior patches of discoloration generally readjust on their own. Whatever discoloration does not automatically resolve can easily be treated once laser treatments are complete.

Laser treatments or laser training courses is not the right solution for everyone; however, for many people it beats the frequent trips to a local beauty school for waxing or the daily hassle of shaving.
