SpineOne patient, jerry, was involved in a serious car accident in 2012 that caused intense and severe back pain and neck pain. He knew that he would require some help so he decided to go to SpineOne.
The treatment plan devised by the physician that Jerome saw included three main areas - muscle relaxer medicine, PT work done at the SpineOne Rehab Center, and 3 minimally invasive injections that were intended to "kick-start" the healing process - the injections had both steroids to assist in healing and an anesthesia to help with the pain.
It took Jerome 2 months before he was feeling confident about the strength of his back and neck. After 4 months, he discontinued the medication and finished the last of the 3 targeted injections. He went to physical Therapy 2-3 times a week, where the focus was strengthening his core and teaching him how to do exercises on his own. The Physical therapist that he worked with was diligent about making sure that Jerome did his "homework" every week. After 6 months, Jerome was happy to report that he was "pain-free" and no longer had back pain. Or neck pain.
