Cellulite is a filthy word with the health and fitness industry today. The reason for such an increase in recent time is simple- an increase in fast sugars and fat consumption and a sedentary lifestyle- the latter being the main culprit. Despite what the drug companies will want you to believe, the root of the problem is directly related to the condition of muscle layers, and being desk bound in an office job is the best way of letting these muscle layers deteriorate. The best way to combat the problem is through exercise targeted at the problem areas.

One of the best types of exercises you can do to address cellulite in the lower body where it is most commonly found is walking. This doesn't sound very ground breaking but don't be to quick to undervalue the benefits of walking. Walking regularly will go a long way to rebuilding the muscle layers to their healthy state.

To get the best results it's advisable to walk three miles or more six days a week. The best way to do this is to plan a number of interesting walk in your areas that you can reach fairly quickly.
