Epilating Advice - How To Use Your New Epilator

Epilators can be a bit scary for first time users. If used wrong they can cause skin irritation and pain, which is why i have made this little guid about what you should consider before your first uses. Smooth skin without pain or irritated skin is really easy if you use your epilator right!
For your first uses, i would recommend that you find a less sensitive spot on your body with light hair and try it out there. This will allow you to experience how the epilation feels before you start using it on other parts of your body.
Taking a bath or a shower before epilation allows your pores to open up. Open pores makes it much less painful to remove the hair and will make the whole process easier. But make sure you are dry, as most epilators don't work well on wet skin.
A few small bumps or some red blotches are likely to appear after the first few times you use your new epilator. Much of this is because your skin is not used to hair removal, and it's a natural reaction to hair removal. If you continue to use your epilator, you will see that skin irritation becomes less and less of an issue. If you feel worried about the irritation, you should know that it usually disappears within a few hours.
Don't be in a rush when you plan on using your epilator. The first times you use it, it will take some time. Both to get used to how the machine works and the sensation of removing your hairs this way. Do not use a lot of pressure, as this in a worst case scenario can cause the epilator to grab on to your skin, which will hurt badly.
After you have used the epilator, make sure you apply a mild body lotion to soothe the irritated skin. When the irritation has calmed down, you need to exfoliate so that you will avoid having ingrown hairs.
