by Kristen Baird

Most people have been stung by a bee at least once in their lives. The venom that the bees possess in their stingers are actually the substance that makes the sting painful and may cause other kinds of conditions. However, if used correctly, this poison can actually be used as a medicine in which people call it bee venom therapy.

Now this type of therapy is also known as apitherapy and it is a type of treatment that is relatively new to the world of medicine but proven to be quite effective. Now one can either inject the substance into his body through an injection in order to receive treatment or choose to just get stung directly by bees. The ones who use the latter method claim that being directly stung will be more effective because the venom is more potent this way.

Now this type of substance is known to have components that have anti inflammatory properties. This means that if one has swelling from wounds or other insect bites, this substance can actually help with the inflammation. Many people have sworn using it to bring down the swelling in their bodies whenever they would have wounds, boils, or other kinds of inflammations.

Some studies have even researched that this substance can relieve pain in the muscles as well. Well this does make sense since the medicine is ultimately used for anti inflammation. So if one would have a muscle ache or a cramp, this type of medicine can actually help because it can be used in order to lessen the inflammation inside the muscles when the muscles ache.

Studies have also found out that this substance can even help with the improvement of arthritis in general. In fact, some researchers even stated that this so called poison can even prevent the condition known as rheumatoid arthritis. Because of this, many researchers have began studying more and more the benefits of bee venom acupuncture.

Now there are also some claims that state that this substance can also help with cleaning up infections. A number of people have tried using the medicine on their infected wounds and were able to make the wound close up quite fast. Researchers have found out that this substance, aside from anti inflammatory properties, had cleansing properties as well to kill germs and bacteria.

Recently, many people have been using this same substance into making their skin much nicer. Apparently, this substance has the ability to help with blood circulation which is able to smooth out the lines or wrinkles in the face in order to make the face look much younger and much more vibrant. It also helps produce collagen which is actually beneficial to the skin as well.

Now as one can see, apitherapy is actually becoming more and more advanced these days as more and more people are looking into the possibilities of using this type of medicine. Of course since this is not a complete study yet, then researchers cannot really conclude how exactly this substance works. However, they have already cleared it of any dangers which means using it is completely safe.
