Sunless Tan Picture Editing At Its Best

by Haywood Hunter

Models these days always opt to have a darker skin tone because it looks relatively nicer when they are featured on the magazine. The only thing about getting a tan would be the grueling process about baking in the sun for a long time. In order for models to skip these process, editors in the industry do a sunless tan picture editing session so that the models look darker. Just to give an overview to beginners, here is how to do a very simple sunless tan picture editing work.

Now do not worry because sunless tan picture editing is extremely fast and simple that anyone with the proper program can do it. Now before attempting to do sunless tan picture editing, it is probably best to grab hold of a brand new Adobe Photoshop CS3 or CS4 disc. One may opt to choose other kinds of programs that are available but Photoshop is still regarded as the best for sunless tan picture editing.

So in sunless tan picture editing, first boot up the Photoshop program and select the photo that is going to be fixed up. The following part would be to bring the mouse over to the right side and click on the layering option. Then select the background layer option and then click on the message that says duplicate layer.

One must now be put into a special mode in Photoshop by clicking on the Q button in the keyboard. Select the black background so that it will be easy to see which parts are going to be affected. Then click on the brush tool and start painting that parts to be fixed.

When that is finished, press the Q button again to get out of the quick mask mode. Go to the main toolbar and press select then click on the inverse option. Now take a look at the photo and see that the parts that should be edited are highlighted.

The next thing to do would be to click the solid fill color button that is somewhere at the right and then select pantone 175 c as the new color. After doing this, take note of the current opacity level and make it as high as ninety percent. One will see that the highlighted parts are now tanned.

As for the final step, one will just have to use the smudge tool in order to refine the whole picture itself. When doing sunless tan picture editing, some editors have the tendency to leave one part of the body tanned while the other parts are not. So if one would want his photo to look nice and not fake, then he must be very careful when he is sunless tan picture editing.

So for those new editors out there in the industry, take note of these sunless tan picture editing methods. Always take note that sunless tan picture editing demands a lot of attention because it can either enhance a photo a lot of just make it really ugly. So editors must constantly be very detailed and careful otherwise their photos will look fake.
