Finally it looks as though summer is trying to make an appearance. As usual at the first hint of sun, plenty of people will be outside trying to obtain a tan. The benefits of sun screen is that it protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun, the sun tan lotion works jointly with proteins, which the body produces, to darken the pigment of the skin.
If you are looking for a combination sun tan lotion and sun screen, always look for the letters SPF. These stand for sun protection factor. Most people seem to look for an SPF of at least 20, the higher the number the longer an individual can stay out in the direct sun.
A downside to sun worshipping is that it does tend to dry the skin. Just think to how tight your skin felt the last time you had sun burn. Remember to reapply your sun tan lotion at regular intervals. There are sun tan lotions that are meant to be waterproof, and even if you are not going swimming the body itself will be sweating. So even the waterproof sun tan lotion will need reapplication.
So if you are looking forward to the sun, there are a few things to remember. Wear a sun tan lotion, and also regularly reapply it. A sun tan looks good, but sun burn doesn't.
