Color Readings And What They Mean

by Marci Nielsen

There must be something to the psychological effects of color. Big brand name companies pay marketing people a lot of money to design logos and advertisements that use color to convey whatever it is the company is trying to convey. Color readings appear to have some merit in the minds of some people. When reading about the meaning of color, surprisingly you may find in many cases the meaning was something you intuitively knew. Or perhaps you have these ideas because of the spoken and unspoken messages received regarding color.

Is has been accepted for centuries that the purple is a color for royalty. White denotes purity. Yellow is happy and full of sunshine. Many sources on the Internet agree with these long held notions. You cannot help but wonder if these are facts or just notions.

Some people say that they are able to see the aura of other people. When you read your own aura, or if you have a professional read your aura, this is a color reading. Auras come in many colors from white to black and all the colors in between. If you would like to try and see your own aura, it is suggested that you place yourself in front of a mirror. It is important that the area behind you is a neutral light color.

The next thing to do is to basically focus on your outline. Pick a spot, not the entire body. For example, you may choose the outline of your head. Continue to focus and you should be able to discern a white or transparent outline around your body. Focus a little while longer and the color of your aura will appear. Pay very close attention, because as soon as you see your aura you begin to think. You lose your focus and the aura goes away.

Perhaps you observed that your aura was pink. This means you are a loving and giving person. You are a romantic and once you fall in love you remain faithful to that love. If you observed an orange aura you are gregarious and outgoing. You are a social person and very sensitive to the feelings of others. This almost sounds like something you would read based on your astrological sign.

It is not surprising that someone with a white aura is sensitive. They are intuitive and said to have psychic powers. They are known to be attractive and charismatic. People are drawn to them. If you could choose your aura, white sounds excellent.

Whatever aura you have, you do not want it to be black. This is the briefest of explanations. Negativity, hatred and depression are indicated by a black aura. It may also indicate severe sickness, such as cancer.

As you take the time to think about auras it all begins to seem very reasonable. The one thing that makes you stop and question the ideology is that payment is too frequently requested. Granted that pastors and priests pass the hat at each service, but they do not do it so frequently and for so many dollars. Beliefs are often faith based and have little to do with provable facts. If these concepts help people cope with their lives, then more power to them.
